When you contact me, I request the following:
Your email address for me to respond to you
Project details, including word count and sample (if possible)
How do I use your data?
I use the data I collect as follows:
For my internal accounting processes (for example, to send invoices), and so that I comply with the requirements of my tax authority (HMRC)
To contact you in response to your enquiry or booking
Where do I store the data?
Emails. These are stored on my password-protected email account. I do not have an external address book.
Files. These are stored on my computer's hard disk. I can then delete them when you ask me to.
How long do I keep the data for?
Your personal data, i.e. name and email address, is kept for a minimum of five years to comply with my obligations to HMRC, the UK tax authority.
Unless requested otherwise, I will keep your files for the same length of time, though I am more than happy to delete them sooner if you request this.

Unless I am audited by HMRC, I do not share your data with anyone.
If you agree to provide a testimonial, I may include the name and details you provide.
I do not subcontract work, nor do I discuss your project with third parties or on the internet/social media without prior permission.
If you have any questions about what data I have about you or want me to remove you from my systems, please contact me.
